Pros and cons of Star Wars™ Dice app for iPhone and iPad

Star Wars™ Dice app good for

Its good app. Nice physics too. I dont feel like Im getting cheated on my rolls. Also saves money and its for iPad and iPhone.
To be Perfect, the App needs an Option to Drag and Drop roll the Dice. Also there should be an Space Battle Sound Pack (Typical Spacecraft Laser-Shots) for an authentic X-Wing Game Feeling. And a nice Bonus: Add some great Background Movie Soundtrack with an Option to adjust the Volume Level.
The latest update that summarizes results, plus several other tweaks and slight upgrades makes this a much more worthwhile purchase and an excellent and attractive dice roller for FFGs Star Wars RPG: Edge of the Empire. Still a bit expensive for a die roller, the fact that its universal and can run on multiple iOS devices makes it a must for gamers until (and possibly after) the dice packs for the game come out in 2013. Well done.
With a summary of whats rolled its so easy to see the final result of a complicated roll. This definitely will help at the table.
I like this app, nice and smooth. I would give a 5 stars if it could calculate the results instead of only showing the dice icons. Also, maybe find a way to use less battery on iPhone 5c. Thanks!

Some bad moments

But for a game with a non-intuitive system like the new Star Wars game, it should really tell you what the dice rolls mean. I mean, I got two scary things, three sparks and a dot with wings. Since I havent absorbed the new game system yet, it should really have an option to tell you what the dice mean. And once youve mastered the dice, it can be turned off and you can interpret them on your own. Or not, since even regular dice rolling programs will add up the results of your dice for you. Its not a good intro to the game, especially since the only people playing it right now are the people whove bought into the beta.
I prefer real dice but this app is worth it IMO because its for multiple games and if you have a large game going on its easier to roll on the app than passing dice around
I balked a little at the price, but picked this up as I have purchased both X-Wing and the Edge of the Empire beta. I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the app. Of all the different dice apps I have used, this is easily the most polished. There is a nice selection of sound effects and backgrounds to choose from. The dice roll well and the ability to save common sets seems like a plus. As an iPad 2 user, I would really like to see a landscape mode for this app. When gaming I often set my iPad on the table using my smart cover. It would be ideal for me if the app would have an appropriate orientation when I did that. Otherwise, nice app. Recommended if you will be playing FFGs Star Wars games.
Really clean and intuitive app, but the obvious missing feature is automatic matching of the various negative and positive symbols. The ability to automate this would speed up ffg star wars significantly. Otherwise, this is a great, well implemented resource.
I would like to see landscape mode. It is a really polished app. Now if I could just get my hands the the xwing game.
The ability to save preset dice for skills/attributes that are used commonly combined with the fact that its extremely clear to see the dice results allows for a clean play experience when playing Edge of the Empire! I havent played X-wing yet so Im not able to comment on how the app works for that game, but for EotE my group and I found it to be a huge help. I love how "clean" the app is! My only suggestion for the developers: maybe a quick breakdown on the side/bottom of the display showing the totals of the different dice results (so its a little easier for the GM or other players to see and help newer players).
